About the tutor: 
Jörg Braun studied biochemistry at the University of Tübingen and performed his thesis research on microRNA-mediated mRNA-degradation in the laboratory of Prof. Elisa Izaurralde in the Department of Biochemistry at the MPI for Developmental Biology. He completed his PhD in 2012 and was awarded the Otto Hahn Medal and the Karl Lohmann Prize. For his postdoctoral research on the single-molecule analysis of human pre-mRNA splicing he went as EMBO and HFSPO fellow to the laboratory of Prof. Melissa Moore at the RNA Therapeutics Institute, University of Massachusetts, Worcester, US. In 2018 he joined CureVac AG in Tübingen as Scientist in the Enabling Technologies group and leads the project “RNA innovations”.
